Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the National Auto Protect Inc. (“National Auto Protect,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) website, submitting a quote request, or purchasing a vehicle protection plan, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or website.

2. About Our Services

National Auto Protect provides vehicle service contracts (also known as vehicle protection plans or extended warranties) that cover mechanical breakdowns and failures of covered vehicle components. Our services also include 24/7 roadside assistance and claims processing support.

2.1 Service Contracts

Vehicle service contracts are not insurance policies. They are mechanical breakdown protection agreements between you and the contract administrator. Each contract specifies covered components, exclusions, terms, conditions, and limitations.

2.2 Website Services

Our website provides information about our vehicle protection plans, allows users to request quotes, and offers customer support resources. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our website at any time.

3. Eligibility

To purchase a vehicle protection plan from National Auto Protect, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a legal resident of the United States
  • Provide accurate and complete information during the application process
  • Own or lease the vehicle for which coverage is requested
  • Meet the eligibility requirements specified in the chosen plan (vehicle age, mileage, condition)

4. Quote Requests and Applications

4.1 Quote Accuracy

Quotes provided through our website or by our representatives are estimates based on the information you provide. Final pricing may vary based on vehicle inspection, verification of information, and underwriting approval.

4.2 Information Accuracy

You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information about yourself and your vehicle. Providing false or misleading information may result in denial of coverage, cancellation of your contract, or denial of claims.

4.3 No Obligation

Requesting a quote does not obligate you to purchase a plan, nor does it obligate us to offer coverage.

5. Contract Purchase and Activation

5.1 Contract Terms

When you purchase a vehicle protection plan, you will receive a contract that outlines:

  • Covered components and systems
  • Exclusions and limitations
  • Deductible amounts
  • Contract term and mileage limits
  • Claims procedures
  • Cancellation and refund policies

5.2 Waiting Period

Most plans include a waiting period (typically 30 days and 1,000 miles from purchase date) before coverage becomes effective. Specific waiting periods are detailed in your contract.

5.3 Pre-Existing Conditions

Coverage does not apply to pre-existing conditions, defects, or failures that existed before the contract purchase date or during the waiting period.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Payment Methods

We accept payment by credit card, debit card, ACH transfer, or other methods as specified during purchase. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the agreed-upon amount.

6.2 Payment Plans

If you choose a monthly payment plan:

  • Payments are due on the date specified in your contract
  • Failure to make timely payments may result in contract cancellation
  • Late fees may apply as specified in your contract
  • Coverage may be suspended for non-payment

6.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change pricing for new contracts at any time. Price changes do not affect existing contracts.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

7.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you cancel your contract within 30 days of purchase and no claims have been filed, you will receive a full refund of the contract price paid, minus any claims paid.

7.2 Cancellation After 30 Days

Cancellation terms and prorated refunds after the 30-day period are specified in your contract. Refund amounts are typically calculated based on:

  • Unused contract term or mileage
  • Any claims paid
  • Administrative fees (if applicable)

7.3 Cancellation by National Auto Protect

We reserve the right to cancel your contract for:

  • Non-payment
  • Fraud or misrepresentation
  • Failure to maintain the vehicle properly
  • Other reasons specified in your contract

8. Claims Process

8.1 Filing Claims

To file a claim:

  1. Contact National Auto Protect before repairs are made
  2. Take your vehicle to an ASE-certified repair facility
  3. Provide required documentation (repair estimates, vehicle information, etc.)
  4. Await claim authorization before repairs begin

8.2 Claim Approval

Claims are subject to review and approval. We reserve the right to:

  • Inspect the vehicle before authorizing repairs
  • Require additional documentation
  • Deny claims that are not covered under your contract
  • Approve alternative repairs or parts

8.3 Covered Repairs

Covered repairs must be performed at ASE-certified facilities. We pay repair facilities directly for approved claims, minus any applicable deductible.

9. Maintenance Requirements

To maintain coverage, you must:

  • Follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule
  • Keep records of all maintenance and repairs
  • Provide maintenance records upon request
  • Not modify the vehicle in ways that could affect covered components

Failure to properly maintain your vehicle may result in claim denial.
